Vegas Gallery is a Contemporary Art Space situated in the heart of East London.
Since its set-up in 2006 Vegas Gallery focuses on a programme of show of experimental and current work by international artists. These include both projects curated or presented by Vegas Gallery and projects with various independent curators developing projects that intersect with the gallery’s core areas of interest.
The programme focuses on the work on emerging London-based artists and their international peers from other locations without a substantial track record of showing in London.
In effect, Vegas Gallery aims to introduce London art audiences to the work of emerging foreign and regional UK artists in juxtaposition to the work of London-based artists that might already be familiar to them.
Given the histories of the gallery’s initiators, the programme has inevitably strongly promoted Dutch, Belgian and German artists’ work with the programme. However, young Scandinavian and Swiss artists have also be well-represented through specific projects.
A second strand present in the programme reflects Vegas Gallery’s interest in and work in the multidisciplinary context of digital arts and pop culture.
Vegas Gallery is sponsored by Minivegas, a multimedia Collective of Animation and Live Action directors, operating successfully within the media industry.
Vegas Gallery is not a gallery for hire.
